Unless you live under a rock in Timbuktu or don't have access to the world wide web, then you probably know that Evan made his debut Monday night at 6:47 p.m.!!!!! He's here, he's perfect and he's ours. I will write a longer post with pics as soon as I have time or when I'm not a walking zombie. Just making the quick announcement.
So in love,
Angela

Getting down to the wire!!!!
This coming Wednesday will mark my 38th week of pregnancy....it's almost time!!!! I went to my regular doctor's appointment last Thursday. Everything looks and sounds great....doc said he estimates Evan is between 7 and 7 1/2 pounds....whew!!! He sure is moving around and doing somersaults in my tummy...all the time! He definitely takes after his father's wiggling habits. :) At this point, the doctor says I could go into labor at any time, so Jared has been put "on call" until further notice. It's funny because every time I call his phone for any reason, he answers in a panic like it's "the call"! I think anxiety and nervousness has finally set in for the both of us knowing that our little baby boy could be here at any time.
The nesting instinct has set in too. I've washed, folded, sorted and put up all the little onesies, booties, hats, blankets....all that adorable stuff....we've put up the swing, bouncy seat and pack 'n' play....and today I packed my hospital bag and Evan's coming home bag. The only thing left is to sit and wait for things to start happening!!! We're trying to enjoy our last quiet days as a twosome before life really changes. But, I have to say, this unbearable heat is pretty much keeping me indoors with my feet up so I don't sweat to death or my feet don't swell to three times their normal size!! I don't know how my mother carried TWINS all the way to July 16th in this horrible heat....bless that woman!!!
Speaking of mom, she left this afternoon for her yearly teaching/mission trip to China. Yes, I know, my mom won't be here when I give birth...but, I know she'll be praying for me as I for her and I have two sisters who have been commissioned to help me out should Jared wuss/pass out during labor and delivery. So, I've promised we'll call when the time comes and to send plenty of pictures.
That's about all that is going on in the Pieroni household right now. So, hopefully the next post will be the introduction of our new addition!!! Wish us luck, life will never be the same :)
P.S. Word to the wise, WalMart and Old Navy have been my two favorite places to get clothes while I've been pregnant...nice selection and cheap. Most of the clothes I have aren't even maternity. Thank God empire waist is in style!
Anxiously waiting,
Angela

Time is winding down....
I've been meaning to post this picture, but just haven't gotten around to it, things have been rather busy. We got all the furniture in the nursery put together and I'm starting to fill up all the drawers with all the "necessities".....who knew an infant had so many necessities?? This photo was taken last week, so I'm actually 32 weeks now....seems to be flying by so quickly. I'm doing extremely well...only a few nights of heartburn and a bout of swollen ankles....other than this little boy trying to kick me from the inside out, I can't (or shouldn't) really complain!
I have two baby showers coming up and I'm sooooo excited! The first will be at my church for all the Baptist church ladies. And the other is being thrown by several of my girlfriends and my boss' wife, which should be a blast! Can't wait to get all kinds of cute little boy things. I'm trying to savor this last month or so before we become a family of three and our lives are changed forever. But, we are ready to see our little boy and see what who he looks like! I'll try to get in a last picture or two before d-day and most likely some from the showers.

I promise I'm still here
Sorry I haven't updated in awhile....been preparing for our new arrival. In case you haven't seen the nursery pics, I have them posted on my facebook page, so add me!! Everything with the pregnancy is going swimmingly...literally...sometimes it feels like he's just swimming around in my belly...it's so cool!!! He'll be here before we know it, so I'm trying to get as much (sleeping) done before he arrives. This week marks my 30th week of pregnancy, so I'll post an updated belly photo for everyone to ogle. :) Stay tuned.....
Very preggo,

21 Weeks...halfway there.
O.k....so here's a recent preggo pic for those of you who like to keep up with that kind of stuff. I really can't believe this pregnancy is already halfway over! Man, I got to get busy on this kid's nursery, not to mention settle on a name. I'm starting to feel little flutters throughout the day...it really is a feeling you can't explain until you have them yourself. Things are progressing nicely and with no setbacks, thank the Lord. Just wanted to keep you all updated.
Fabulously preggo,
Angela

The news I know you've all been waiting for....
For those of you who either live under a rock or have no internet connection, I went in for my ultrasound today to finally find out what's been sloshing around in mah belly....and the winner is.......a bouncing, baby BOY!!! Woo hoo....Jared and I are both very excited now that we know what we are dealing with precisely. Now, we just have to agree on a name. I had originally picked out a girl name I fell in love with. As luck would have it, we have no use for it. So, now we have to compromise since we both have family names we want to use. I'm sure we'll come to some agreement. Everything is going good, all things look normal and healthy. The ultrasound tech put the due date around July 11th instead of the 15th, but that's subject to change depending on the little guy's mood.
I was going to post the revealing photo of the little boy parts, but they are almost unrecognizable in my opinion. So, I'm posting the profile shot. Boy, he sure has grown since the last ultrasound! Thank you all for the congratulations and well wishes and I will be sure to keep everyone posted on the name situation. If anyone has any suggestions, they are more than welcome!!

A short update
So, I had another doctor's appointment this past Tuesday. Same routine to follow...you know, pee in a cup, let them take some blood, weigh me (uggh) and all that jazz. However, this time we got to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time. How exciting is that?!! It didn't take the doctor two seconds to find it, which is a good sign. Sounded good and strong too. I told Jared it sounded like a girly heartbeat, but he's still convinced it's a boy.
My next appointment is February 17th....it will be the one everyone has been asking about...we will finally get to find out if it's a boy or girl swimming around in my belly! Woo hoo!!! So, until then, I will be anxiously waiting until that day arrives.
Later taters,
Angela

14 weeks and counting....
O.k....so like a million people have asked me to post a preggers pic....I guess they want to see just how big I am! So, here I am, 14 weeks tomorrow....can't believe it's already been that long. I only had morning sickness for about two weeks and that was during the time no one knew. I must be part of the lucky few, I don't see how people make it feeling like that for the entire pregnancy! I haven't felt any "fluttering" yet, but this baby is already sitting on top of my bladder causing the never ending trips to the bathroom all day AND night. But, it's totally worth it. My next doctor's appointment is on January 20th and we will get to hear the heartbeat and see how much the little bean has grown....so exciting. From my calculation, we will likely get to find out the gender at my February appointment and decide if we will go with the girl's name I have fallen in love with or the boy's name that Jared will be calling "his boy". Either way, we are both excited of the progress so far and look forward to updating everyone after this next appointment!
P.S. Do all pregnant woman start showing this early or is it because I waited so long to have a child?
