So close, yet so far away!!

That is all I have to say about the Arkansas/Ole Miss game this past weekend....so close....yet so far away!!!! Ugghhh...we should've went for the field goal!!!!! Anyway, we watched the game over at our friend's Grace and Emerson's house. Grace is pregnant, so being the girls that we are, we decided to try some old wives' tales on her to determine the sex of the baby. All of them said she would be having a baby boy!!!

Here is little Katherine...she's the quiet one in the family...and look at that cute little mullett!!
Kids are drawn to me...what can I say??

Nathan....the more rowdy, outgoing one of the two...can you tell?

And here we have Neal. Laid back and chillin' like a villain....

Next, we have Meagan and Myself...I just like to call her Megs...she's a peach!!

Maegan, Grace and myself....you can't even tell Grace is pregnant...hope I'm like that!

Here is the baby blanket that Becky bought for the future baby Perry...don't judge them because they are Mississippi State fans.

Becky made her arrival after driving from Starkville for a relative's wedding...doesn't she look so sophisticated??

Becks and Megs...two of the greatest friends a girl could ask for!

So, coming up this weekend is the big blowout Halloween party that I'm helping to hostess. I have gotten my costume, slippers, stockings and all the necessary accessories to complete "my look". Everyone is getting really excited about seeing all the costumes that we have all come up with. I have already bought extra batteries in case the ones in my camera go low. The next entry I post should be a fabulous review of the happenings going on down here in the L.V.
P.S. I just received word that Sarah Sabbatini will have her labor induced Wednesday morning at 7 a.m!!! Pray that she has a smooth delivery and a beautiful, healthy little baby girl we all know as Miss Anne Marie.
Toodles,
Angela

Clint and the big 3-0!!!

This past Friday a bunch of us got to head over to Doe's to do a little pre-celebration in honor of our friend, Clint's, upcoming thirtieth birthday!!! If anyone hasn't ever been to Doe's, it is well worth the trip!!!! Wonderful food, especially the steaks and hot tamales. Not to mention that you can bring your own wine or liquor into the place...hee hee. I think there were about twenty two of us at the table and I was thoroughly surprised that the waitress actually kept our orders straight. I don't think Clint wanted us to make a big deal about his birthday, but Lindsey brought a big cookie cake and everyone in the restaurant stopped to sing happy birthday to him...ahhh, good times!! Here's a nice picture of the birthday boy.....

As usual, Paige is showing those pearly whites!!

Me and the old man, we were doing a little celebrating too since our anniversary is on the 20th!!

The other Pieroni couple, Becky and Daniel. Friday was acutally Daniel's birthday, so they had a reason to celebrate as well.
Awww....look at the happy couple....don't they just look adorable??!!!
Now, this is where it gets a little redneck. The steaks at Doe's are monumental in size. Leave it to my husband and Tick to get out their dang pocket knifes to cut them up to eat!!!
And here is one of Mary Ashley and Lindsey....there was lots of posed shots that night.
After stuffing ourselves into new pants sizes and really understanding what it means to eat yourself to death, we decided to head over to Harlow's and do a little gambling. Sadly, I don't think anyone actually won any money, but it's always fun to go!!
It was a nice, quiet weekend for me and it was great!!! I only wish the Razorbacks hadn't lost by ONE.WHOLE.POINT!!!! Arrrrghhhh!!! Now, the countdown to Monday morning.....which basically sucked the fun out of the rest of Sunday!!
See ya on the flip side nerds,
Angela

Happy 56th Birthday Dad!!

Tomorrow is my dad's 56th birthday, so we decided to have a little birthday party for the old man after church. To be turning 56, the man sure gets around...though not as quick as he used to!!! He had his favorite kind of cake, german chocolate, got some new dress and work shirts from Amanda and I. Mom got him the third season of "Lost", don't ask me why they are so addicted to that show. All in all, it was a nice afternoon and I'm glad daddy was there to enjoy it. He's usually picking cotton on his birthday, so it was a nice treat to be able to spend it with him.

Here's a few pictures I took of the occasion...what?....You knew I would take some pictures!!!

Happy Birthday Daddy!!!!

P.S. How 'bout the Hogs!!!!

Irony at its best....

So, Meagan and I high-tailed it down to West Monroe yesterday evening after work to hunt down some Halloween costumes. It has been since college since I've even had to procure a costume, so I was a little out of practice. First things first, where in the hell are these people coming up with these outfits!!!! Goodness, everything "sexy" in the title and was either verrrrry low-cut or so short that you would have to worry about everyone seeing everthing God gave you if you bent over.

Now, I'm not a geezer, but I was trying to find something for myself age-appropriate that wouldn't ruin my reputation for the short four hours I would be wearing it. Meagan was like a kid in a candy store and made friends with EVERY employee. She was bouncing everywhere!! The store was amazing, they had anything and everything you could imagine for Halloween there. So, after perusing the rows and rows of costumes that didn't have enough cotton to fill the top of an aspirin bottle, we decided to try a few on. Thank goodness we could try them on!!! After seeing my boobs trying to fall out of the beer girl costume, I decided on the only fitting costume for lil ole me.....yep....and angel!!!!! After all, my name means "Angelic", right?

Meagan decided to be a "mod girl" from the seventies...or as she liked to call it, a go-go dancer. We bought cool accessories, fake eyelashes (because neither of us had ever tried them) and huge rhinestone rings that were only $3 and we are terrible impulse buyers. Poor Jared had to settle on being "Leatherface" from Texas Chainsaw Massacre, that way he can wear his beloved jeans!!

We didn't make it home until 10:30, but it was worth the ride. I'm soooo excited to be able to dress up this year, it's going to be a fun party!!! Valerie, if you're going to be in town, it will be November 1st at the K.C. Hall, come on by. I'm one of the hostesses, so I'm sure I will be busy as a bee until this party arrives.

Oh, expect a picture of me in the outfit.....I couldn't resist.....hee hee.

Later kiddies!!!

It's been awhile

I promise to have something blogworthy soon....nothing really exciting going on in my life right now. Just go to work and then go home. Such is the life of a grown up. I do want to thank everyone who sent thoughts, condolences and prayers to me regarding David. I still can't believe he's really gone. But, life must go on.

I am looking forward to Halloween this year. Jared and I will be going to a party this year and....yes....we have to wear costumes. I haven't dressed up since college. I need help!!! After perusing costumes websites, I have come to the conclusion that I am destined to wear something really low cut that won't even cover my butt!!!! I mean, what happened to classic costumes people! It's an outrage....most of the costumes are filed under "sexy"...what is up with that?? Anyway, I would appreciate some suggestions that won't clear out my bank account.

Like I said, something interesting.....when it happens.

Later alligator,
Angela
